Tucker Carlson Drops ‘Hidden’ FBI Files Revealing Thomas Crooks’ July 2024 Attempted Attack on Trump, Sparking Online Outrage

Today, Friday, November 14, 2025, former Fox anchor Tucker Carlson dropped a video on his social media. He revealed hundreds of posts and videos he says the FBI tried to hide. Carlson claims the files come from the Google Drive account of Thomas Crooks, the man who tried to assassinate President Donald Trump at the Butler County, Pennsylvania fairgrounds on July 13, 2024.

Carlson said, “These are videos the FBI has worked hard to make sure you haven’t seen.” He added: “That day, Thomas Crooks came within a quarter inch of destroying this country.”

The materials include hundreds of YouTube comments written by Crooks between 2019 and 2020, plus his watch history and search queries advocating violence against public officials. Carlson argues these show Crooks was hardly an online ghost, contrary to what the FBI publicly stated.

An FBI press release from July 14 2024 notes the agency identified Crooks, collected his phone and vehicle, and continues to investigate. The release says his motivation remains unknown and that the FBI “will continue to support this investigation” with full resources.

Carlson questions the gap between the public statements and what his team uncovered. “Why is the FBI keeping Crooks’ views a secret? Why are they ignoring congressional subpoenas to divulge information?” he asked.

Online reactions have been strong.Another user wrote, “Finally, someone with the guts to peel back the layers on Crooks’ story. The ignored warnings, encrypted phone, and ‘lone wolf’ narrative? Smells like a cover-up. Keep pushing for answers, @TuckerCarlson—truth over narrative!”

Some reactions highlighted distrust of the FBI.

Carlson also points to signs of possible obfuscation. Crooks’ body was released for cremation ten days after the attack, leaving no autopsy tissue available. Photos show an FBI agent hosing down the crime scene, which Carlson suggests may have destroyed evidence.

For many viewers, the release of these videos is chilling. It suggests Crooks was far more visible online than authorities claimed, while raising questions about whether ordinary citizens will ever get full answers about the threat.
