MTG’s Daughter Fires Back at Rumors, Explains Mom’s Resignation

Lauren Greene Sanders, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s eldest daughter, has spoken out following her mother’s resignation from Congress. She wanted to address rumors about why Greene stepped down.

In a post on X, Sanders called her mother β€œone of a kind” and said she would β€œforever be proud” of her. She also wrote, β€œ110% on America First, American Only,” showing her mother’s loyalty to her principles.

Greene’s resignation surprised many. She had been known as a strong MAGA supporter but recently became critical of President Donald Trump on issues like healthcare and the Epstein files.

Talk of Greene’s next moves erupted online almost immediately. Posts suggested she was planning a 2028 presidential run or that her resignation was timed to secure a lifetime pension. Sanders addressed both claims head-on. She called the idea of a presidential run β€œa lie” and clarified the pension story: β€œShe pays into her pension every month from her paycheck, meaning the pension she will receive is money she paid in. If you’re going to spitfire, at least get it right.”

Family was a key factor in Greene’s decision. In her resignation video, Greene said years of personal attacks had been β€œunfair and wrong,” especially toward her children. Sanders’ posts made it clear she wanted to protect her mother’s reputation.

Trump had withdrawn his endorsement, leaving Greene politically isolated. Sanders asked followers to β€œpray” for her mother’s safety amid threats, showing the personal toll of her public role.

Sanders is one of three children Greene shares with ex-husband Perry Greene. Her siblings, Taylor, 26, and Derek, 22, stay mostly private. Sanders has often described her mother as a β€œbest friend” and frequently posts photos with her.

Greene also spoke about her concern for the younger generation. In her video, she said many young people β€œfeel hopeless for their future and don’t think they will ever realize the American dream.”

Sanders also shared a personal moment. She posted a photo of the movie The Patriot, which shows a parent fighting for their children. She wrote, β€œThis movie was very much needed tonight,” connecting the story to her mother’s dedication.

Greene’s last day in Congress will be January 5, 2026. While opinions about her career and choices vary, Sanders emphasized loyalty, family, and the truth behind her mother’s decision.
