Corrections Policy

At The Daily Glitch, our goal is to be accurate and fair. We know that mistakes can happen, and when they do, we believe in correcting them openly and quickly. This policy explains how we handle errors.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We do our best to get things right the first time. Every story is checked for facts before it is published. However, if we make a mistake, we are committed to fixing it and being transparent with our readers.

Types of Corrections

We correct significant factual errors. A factual error is when we get a key piece of information wrong (for example, a name, a date, a number, or a direct quote).

Minor mistakes, like spelling or grammar errors that do not change the meaning of the story, will be corrected without a formal notice.

How We Correct Articles

When a significant factual error is found, we will do two things:

  1. Update the Article: We will fix the mistake within the body of the article.
  2. Add a Correction Notice: We will add a clear notice at the bottom of the article. This notice will state what was wrong and when the story was corrected.

For example:

Correction [Date]: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated [the wrong information]. The article has been updated to reflect [the correct information].

We do not delete articles that contain errors. We correct them to maintain a clear and honest record.

How to Report an Error

If you see a mistake in one of our articles, we encourage you to let us know. Please send an email to our editorial team with the following information:

  • Your Name
  • A link to the article
  • A clear explanation of the error

We will review your submission as quickly as possible.

Updates and Clarifications

Sometimes, a story is ongoing and new information becomes available. Adding new details to a developing story is an update, not a correction. We will make it clear when we are updating a story with new information.
